How to get the Apple iCloud Shared Photo Album URL

Steps to setup a shared iCloud album and get the URL required to display your Apple iCloud photos

Step-by-step instructions for creating and sharing a new shared album on your iPhone or iPad, so it can viewed on Mango Display.

Create a Shared Album

If you already have a Shared Album that you want to use, you can skip this section.

  1. Open your iPhone or iPad's "Settings" and tap on your iCloud/Apple account name.

  2. Tap on "iCloud" and then "Photos".

  3. Make sure the "Shared Albums" toggle is turned on.

  4. Open the Photos app on your iPhone or iPad.

  5. Tap on the "Albums" tab at the bottom of the screen.

  6. Tap on the "+" icon in the top left corner of the screen.

  7. Tap on "New Shared Album".

  8. Enter a name for your shared album, such as "Mango Display Photos".

  9. Tap "Next" in the top right corner.

  10. You do not need to enter any email addresses, so simply tap "Create" in the top right corner.

Sharing the photo album and getting the URL to use.

  1. Once your album is created, tap on it to open it.

  2. Tap the "People" icon in the top right corner.

  3. Enable the "Public Website" option by toggling the switch.

  4. A link to your shared album will be created automatically. Tap on "Share Link".

  5. Select "Copy" from the share options presented.

  6. Go to the Mango Display web app and paste your iCloud shared photo album link in the image or background image widget as needed.

  7. Now any time you add photos to this album they will be displayed on Mango Display.
